GBC has been offering safety training since it added a Safety Director in 1992. As the need for quality training continues to grow, so too must the methods and format through which we offer this training. Much of the past training has been provided in the company-specific format. We will continue this format as it has been very successful; however, we will now offer an expanded curriculum of regional seminars to complement our program.
The GBC Safety Training Centers will be a key component of this effort and we will be developing courses that are more interactive and stress hands-on participation. This hands-on training will have real value for participants by reinforcing the OSHA rules with practical solutions, thus enabling workers to be better problem solvers.
As a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), we have access to a national network of training resources and we are kept informed of the latest developments of OSHA regulations. Additionally, we have partnered with many of the leading safety equipment manufacturers and their distributors who are supporting our training programs by donating the newest equipment available.
