The Paul B. Richards Memorial Scholarship

During his thirty years of service to the construction industry of New York State, Paul Richards, former Managing Director of the GBC, earned the respect of all with whom he worked by his dedication to the AGC ideals of Skill, Integrity and Responsibility. In memory and appreciation for Paul's excellent service and leadership and for his strong commitment to education, the Paul B. Richards Memorial Scholarship was endowed in 1987 by the Membership of the GBC. Each year, $2000 scholarships in Paul's name are presented to deserving young men and women pursuing undergraduate degrees in construction-related fields who show a real interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry.

Applications are accepted each fall, and a committee rates each student based on career major, high school and first year college grades, work experience and personal references. Click here to download an application from the AGC of America website. Applications are available for download beginning in late summer. Deadlines are usually November 1 of each year. By filling out an AGC Foundation Scholarship Application you will be in the running for over 100 National Awards.
