ASSOCIATIONS ON THE WEB
Construction is a high-tech industry. From internet
sites to electronic plan rooms, to laser controls for equipment, global
positioning satellites and ground penetrating radar, the industry is
rapidly moving away from the traditional image of an industry that uses
only shovels and hammers to get the job done.
GBC and AGC of America are witnessing a radical change
in the way business is conducted, and we intend to provide the industry
with the tools they need to stay ahead of this movement.
AGC has had a website (www.agc.org)
for several years now. It provides users with detailed information on
construction news, education and training, legislative news, safety, and
products and services. The site also provides AGC members with a
"members only" venue where they can find exclusive legislative
and business information which is prepared to meet their company needs.
Contractors will also find a wealth of information on
the website of The Business Council of New York State. You can find them
at www.bcnys.org.
